Hoverwork and Hovertravel's year round Hovercraft passenger service to and from the Isle of Wight is backed up by Hoverwork's Engineering Services whose manufacturing facility is situated at St. Helens on the Isle of Wight. As favoured subcontractor to GKN Westland Aerospace, Hoverwork has manufactured six AP1-88 hovercraft as well as carrying out numerous repair and refurbishment contracts on many different types of hovercraft and boats. Specialist Hovercraft facilities such as engine overhaul and testing, propeller overhaul and rotatables balancing to aircraft specification are all available in house.
